I am so greatful that I was able to stick to my plan to give as much as I could for the week. With some challenges hitting me in the last month or so I set a goal for myself and I completed it. Once again I was able to meet amaizng new people and coontinue to help in my community.
Recently, I have been taking the time when I am free to go help with what I can. It has been quite challenging to have a lot of free time, but when I go, I still get met with the same kindness and still feel good with what Im contributing to.
I just popped in yesterday because something in my schedule changed, giving me more free time throughout my day to do other things. I always enjoy meeting new people here. I usually do the same general tasks.
I did two different shifts that consisted of checking food bags and sorting items.
Today I helped bag groceries for families and organize their things in the shopping carts.
Throughout my time volunteering, I did a very familiar task, which was checking food bags and interacting with families.
