I enjoyed the Empty Bowls program. As a newcomer, I have never done this activity before, so it was very fun getting a chance to meet new people while designing a bowl however you wanted. I also liked the fact that it was anonymous. People were able to express their creativity however they wanted without receiving judgment.

Throughout my time volunteering in this organization, I have been able to help my peers as well as others in the Greensboro community. From helping other students study, donating to the Greensboro community with canned goods and clothing items, volunteering at blood drives and more, this organization has allowed me to understand what it is like to benefit others with things that are sometimes untangible. Goodness comes from your heart and community service is done out of the kindness of your heart. You never realize how much you can touch/make an impact on one person until you see the smile on their faces and their gratefulness. I recommend my experience of community service to anyone and I have been blessed to have and continue to have this opportunity with this organization.
