Helped out with waivers for the Spring Carnival and facilitated the games area. Afterwards I was able to enjoy some funnel cake and see some of the Black sororities and fraternities on campus preform some stepping which was really cool! Other than the wind super fun experience!
The food pantry was amazing! Stephanie was the main person in charge and I was able to tell very quickly how much this meant to her and her heart for the community. She was so nice to me and made me feel comfortable in a new place. I helped bag up the groceries for the people who came by and had some fun conversations with them. Everyone was super friendly and it was nice to be around older adults rather than being by a bunch of other college students all the time.
I was nice to just spend time outside even if we were picking invasive plants. I was nice to learn what some of the plants are and what they look like.
