I really enjoyed my time volunteering for Week 6 of the Spruill Center for the Arts' Art Camp! During each day, I helped get supplies ready for the kids' projects, managed the classroom, assisted kids in completing the project, took them for bathroom and water breaks, and cleaned up the mess at the end of each day. Throughout this experience, I also learned a lot from the art instructors and enjoyed engaging with the kids during activities. Overall, I loved seeing how excited the kids got for each activity and seeing their creativity blossom every day! I would definitely love to volunteer again at Spruill Center for the Arts.

In connection with NIHS, the National Inventors Hall of Fame, I volunteered as a Leadership Intern at Camp Invention for Brookwood Elementary. Throughout my week of being a Leadership Intern for Camp Invention, I developed and practiced leadership skills, leading and assisting students in grades K-1 in completing STEM related activities. Throughout this experience, I was able to learn how to create a collaborative environment, solve problems efficiently, and inspired the young students by encouraging them to think creatively and achieve their goals. My experience at Camp Invention was incredibly rewarding, allowing me to learn and practice skills that will prepare me for college and beyond!
Assisted teachers in taking care of students by setting up activities for the children, aiding students in completing activities when they struggled, reading books to the children, and cleaning up when activities were complete.
Had a lot of fun volunteering for the Flying into the Future event at the Chattahoochee Nature Center!
Assisted students in completing STEM related activities at Sweet Apple Elementary!
I really enjoyed volunteering at Meals by Grace! They always start off by giving a speech on what Meals by Grace is about and how everything works, which was extremely helpful, especially because it was my first time volunteering there. I was a part of the bread group, although there were many different groups you could work in. I spent time looking through bags of donated bread to see which ones were good to give away to struggling families and packing them into bags. I really felt like my work was making an impact and I would love to volunteer with Meals by Grace again! :)
