I completed the certificates for students with perfect attendance. Each one includes play money as a reward for their consistent attendance throughout the semesters, which they can use at school to redeem special prizes.

I organized and compiled students’ graded work from throughout the semester into folders to send home to their parents. I then listened to them read their “nonsense” words in preparation for their end-of-year word test, followed by having them read a book to continue practicing for the assessment.
I created invitations for the Perfect Attendance ceremony to be distributed to parents. These included students from every grade level, Pre-K through 5th grade, who earned perfect attendance during both the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

I assisted in preparing the 2nd and 3rd Quarter Perfect Attendance awards. This involved creating awards for Pre-K through 5th grade to recognize students who maintained perfect attendance for the semester.

I supervised the collection box for our warm-clothing drive supporting people experiencing homelessness in downtown Greensboro. During this time, we received blankets, crocheted hats, and various other clothing items to help keep them warm during the upcoming colder season.

I helped sort and fold clothing for babies and young boys in need as the winter season approaches. These items were then distributed to their parents. I also assisted in creating a bulletin board recognizing Pre-K through 5th grade students who achieved perfect attendance for the first half of the school year. Additionally, I had the opportunity to sit in on a special assembly where a guest presenters shared about their Native American heritage. I really enjoyed this service opportunity, especially getting to listen and learn about Native American culture and how they celebrate Thanksgiving and other holidays.
