I showed up and instantly felt a different vibe. This is my first time at a college game. I got to help out with Hootie as well!

I learned that transferring to UMD is going to cost at least four times as much as I would be paying here at PGCC. Definitely made me rethink my life choices and future plans.
My introduction to social work class gathered to restock the owl market. It was a little fun and I met a few classmates I don’t usually speak to in class.
I was shocked by the huge cost difference. It definitely has me reconsidering the school I want to go, the plan I have going into it, and my current network (I should get another job, Chipotle probably won’t do it).
A lot of the shared information was stuff I expected to hear except the part about volunteer hours not being counted the next semester. That was a bit of a surprise.
The bookstore deadline is February 9 (I’m not taking a winter class) and there will be 5 mini sessions in the “new” promise program.
There was a good amount of studying that went on. I was able to study with someone for the first time. I realized that, perhaps, I do know what I am learning and not completely lost.
The festival was better than I anticipated because of the different small events that were available and the amount of people that came. I also got to speak to new people at the event.
I went to open mic and was got the chance to share a joke that a I learned from a book. I also got to listen to other works from other people.
We watched “The Great Debaters.” The movie was encouraging to watch, it made me consider my own coherency when I speak. I learned a little history from the movie too.
