During election time, my fellowship, called Black Youth Vote, designed shirts for Georgia residents for free and gave them to everyone who registered to vote and submitted their shirt sizes to us. We provided shirts to hundreds of Georgia residents. During this time, we also provided transportation to the voting polls on a bus.

While decorating these post cards, I had an amazing time. I loved knowing I was doing this for a great cause, because everyone needs to vote! It impacted my thoughts on this upcoming election by showing me I should do more to make sure everyone is registered and will vote. Yes, the postcards motivated me to be more politically aware and active. I am currently registered to vote and I will vote in November!

During the past election, my fellowship participated in phone banking. We called around the state of Georgia for 3 consecutive months to make sure everyone was registered to vote and that they were participating in the upcoming Presidential election. It was a great and new experience for me, specifically, but I enjoyed hearing that those who were intrigued by the calls and excited to make their votes count!
