On February 21st, I volunteered at the local food bank where I helped package and clean Capri Suns so they could be handed out to families. The tasks were pretty simple, but working alongside everyone made it feel meaningful. The whole group naturally fell into a rhythm, some people wiped, some packed, some organized, and it was cool seeing how smoothly everything ran just because everyone was willing to help wherever needed. They had music and karaoke going on while we were packaging and it made the experience very enjoyable and fun! Being there honestly made me appreciate my own day-to-day life a little more. It’s easy to forget that something as small as a drink pouch can make a difference for someone else. It also tied into my interest in business and leadership because I got to see how much teamwork and clear communication matter, even in quick volunteer shifts. Overall, it reminded me why community service is important and how I want to bring that mindset into my future career.
