My mission trip to the northern Dominican Republic changed me in ways I didn’t even know I needed, filling my days with purpose, joy, and the kind of perspective that stays with you. I’m so grateful I went, the service we got to be part of was powerful, beautiful, and honestly just so cool to experience up close.
I served as a food runner for a large CRU fundraising event that hosted more than 150 guests for dinner and dessert. Even without phones or photos, the night was incredibly meaningful. Our team worked together to create a smooth, welcoming experience while raising support for major mission efforts. The event helped fund our upcoming trips to bring clean water and the gospel message to unreached communities, and I was grateful to play a hands‑on role in making it all happen.

I’m so glad I got to serve as a sober monitor for our sorority tonight—it was just an hour, but it meant a lot to help keep our sisters safe and make sure everyone had fun responsibly. It’s a small way to show love and care for the community that means so much to me.
This fall, I donated clothing to our clothing drive and received 50 service hours in recognition of the impact. But more than the hours, this experience reminded me how simple acts of generosity can ripple outward. Each item I gave—once tucked in my closet—became warmth, dignity, and hope for someone else. Through this, I’m learning that giving isn’t just about what we offer—it’s about opening our hearts, noticing needs, and responding with love. Service like this teaches me to live generously, not just occasionally, but as a way of life.

love it!
