I helped set up and assist during the Curate & Create event in the Union! Any students who were interested were able to participate in making a craft, as well as get a snack. This lighthearted, come-and-go as you please event encouraged campus involvement and building connection between peers. I personally built new connections while helping with this event, and walked away feeling a sense of belonging.

I helped run a stand during Fusion Fest, allowing me to help promote one of Fayetteville's local businesses! I also helped clean and pack up following the event. Overall, it was such a fun experience to be involved in a campus event and contribute to both my community and my peers. It was also a really cool way to get to know some of our area's small and underrepresented businesses. It helped me enjoy campus more, and the University Program staff were so fun to work with!

We made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to donate to the 7 Hills Homeless Shelter. This nearly effortless act provided a simple but meaningful meal for individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. It was incredible to get to work with a group of people who also wanted to give to the community, and I look forward to doing this more next semester!
