LAUNCH! Orientation Street Team (Morning) (continuing students only)

Volunteering at the orientation was very exciting for me because just two years ago, I was the one attending orientation as a new student. I never thought I would one day be helping out, welcoming new students, and engaging with them. During the orientation, I was originally scheduled to stay for only four hours, but Mr. Elio asked if we could stay longer, and I agreed. I am glad I did because I made two new friends who share the same interests and major as me.

ReFresh Meeting (Tuesday - PM) [Mandatory]

Attending the refresh meeting was a good opportunity for me to review important information and go over expectations again. The meeting helped clarify responsibilities and reminded me of key guidelines that are important to follow. It also allowed time for questions, which helped me feel more confident and prepared moving forward.

PGCC Men's Basketball vs Camp Community College

Attending this game on a Saturday was very exiting even though I thought it was going to be more full. From the start PGCC boys took the lead and even when they made mistakes or missed shots, they quickly regrouped, communicated with each other, and adjusted their strategy so Camp Community College wouldn't catch up to them, and they did not. PGCC won 102-62

PGCC Men's Basketball vs CCBC Catonsville

This game was my first time watching the men’s team play, and I was surprised by how good they are. What stood out to me the most was how intense the energy felt, especially when CCBC Catonsville took an early lead. For moment, I wasn’t sure how the game would turn out, But once PGCC caught up they didn't fell behind again. Watching them take control of the game showed me how focus, confidence, and persistence can completely change the direction of game.

PGCC Women's Basketball vs CCBC Catonsville

Attending the women’s basketball game was really enjoyable. The experience felt like a roller coaster, with PGCC leading at times and CCBC Catonsville taking the lead at others. Although PGCC lost the game 56-66, I’m confident that our players gave their full effort and demonstrated team work and never gave up on the last minutes.

Building Your Digital Brand for Career Success [mini session - Personal Wellness]

Before attending this mini sessionI didn't realize the significant impact that our social media presence can have on our professional image and our chances of getting hired by an employer. This session helped me understand how employers actively review online profiles and how important it is to maintain positive and professional digital footprint. It made me more aware of how the content we post, share, and engage with can influence hiring decisions.

College Transfer Made Easy: DMV Archive Edition (mini session - Transfer) [Virtual]

After listening to Mr.Nottingham being interviewed by Teyana sackey I feel very confident with where to look for help if I needed when transferring to a 4 year university. I really enjoy this mini session because now I know that taking a day off from school for my mental health is not bad and it will actually help me with calming down my anxiety specifically when is toward the end of semester.
