Bella and I chatted about some things that her friends and her were processing together, and some mean things that were said at school, and how to handle that maturely!! I mentioned before that she transferred to online school, and so we looked at what friendships will look like while online and how to move from social life being at school to now out of school. This includes how to healthily communicate with those she wants to keep in contact with, and her boyfriend. It was super fun to help her through that and give personal advice on how to process different emotions that will come up while doing online school, such as loneliness and becoming overwhelmed! Alongside also how to still separate school from social life!

Bella and I talked about her and her boyfriend! We processed a lot of what being in a relationship looks like, alongside some ups and downs of online school. We talked a lot about mainly her boyfriend and how they met PLUS how it's going. For the most part, we chatted about that and how she's feeling about him, and debriefing the dates and hangouts they've been on. We also got to chat a lot about values in a relationship and how to maturely be in one as best as she can! Especially with false expectations and social media nowadays! She also expressed some concerns with online school and what she has fears with!!
Bella and I got to catch up about Spring break and school!! Seeing her face was so lovely! For spring break, she was home and mainly hung out with all her friends and attended some fun baseball games that were going on. We debriefed my mission trip in Guatemala, and I got to show her all the fun pictures and culture differences! We also chatted about the food and water system there because my main reason for going was to hand out water filters and spread the Gospel! She shared with me a lot of personal things going on at school and asked a lot about mission trips as a whole because she is interested in going at some point!!
I attended and helped lead a mission trip to Antigua, Guatemala over spring break! While there we offered not only a water filter to help families gain a new start but also we offered the gift of the Gospel to those in lower-income families. I attended through Cru GreekWide, who partnered with Filter of Hope organization!

I volunteer weekly, Tuesdays and Thursdays as a college Young Life Leader!
This was my first hangout with just Bella!! We went to Walmart for about an hour at first and ran around looking through all the toys! We looked at all the squishies and stuffed animals and ended up buying a matching pug stuffed animal! We then went to the Sonic near her house in West Fork and talked about her life and the things she's dealt with! It was super good processing her past with her and being able to support her emotionally! I'm super excited to hangout with her again!
I spent this hour meeting my girl, Bella and her Mom! We spent about an hour just getting to know each other and testing to see if the match was positive! It was so fun to talk to her about life and get to know what she's passionate about! We ended up matching perfectly and both left the conversation really excited to get started!
The enrollment process with Bella looked like us both undergoing 5 hours plus of interviews in the hope of them learning everything about both of us. This took place over Zoom and consisted of being asked different questions about me, my life currently, in the past, and what values/priorities I hold. Bella underwent the same process, and luckily, this led us to being matched together through our various needs, wants, and personalities. This also included our first meeting and hanging out with her parents, to make sure this match was positive and encouraging! Bella is my biggest blessing, and we are so grateful to have gone through the process of getting to know each other!
I volunteer as a young life college leader every Tuesday and Thursday!
