Shari and I went to the closet to organize all of the materials after Elkins Family Night. We moved some things around to fit the closet better. We rearranged the items into categories in each box. We labeled the outside of each box so that Donia is able to easily access the materials next year. There were a few finishing touches that Shari and I wanted to finish up so we are hoping to find a time to stop by before the end of the semester to do so. This is the least we could do for you, Donia! Thank you!!!

After the event, I returned all my materials to the closet. I told Donia that I am more than happy to come back and help organize the closet. Elkins Family Night was a success, and I am so thankful that I got to be a part of this experience!!!!

THE BIG DAY!!!! To start, I drove to Donia office to pick up my materials for the night. Then, I drove to Elkins Primary School and began to set up. We rearranged the tables, laid out the tablecloths, decided where each station would be, and where the kids would eat. Soon enough, we realized that we were going to need more pizza for the expected attendance at the event. So... I drove to pick up three more pizzas before the event began. Finally, it was time for the event to begin. EPIC!!!! It was a blast! My job was to facilitate the children in the trail mix making. It was so much fun. I loved getting to meet all the families. After the event, we cleaned everything up and all went our separate ways. All in all, success!!!!

Shari and I met at Donia's office to collect the groceries that Donia bought. We reorganized our boxes. I shifted my materials to a bag and added all of the necessary groceries as well. We made a plan for how we are going to bring our materials to Elkins.

On Thursday, Shari and I met with Donia to go over details about the activities that we will be leading at the Elkins Family Night. We discussed the materials that we had and the materials that we lacked. We double-checked that the links we shared with Donia were suitable for the event. It was very efficient and very helpful.

Outside of the scheduled meeting times and group work, I took time to add the materials that we had, as well as the materials that we are going to need for Elkins Family Night. I organized the Excel sheet so that it would be easy for Donia to understand the materials we needed. I found the materials that we needed at Walmart and linked these items to the Excel sheet. I indicated whether we had this item or we needed it. I also included the quantity of each item. I am working with Shari, so I repeated this process for both the Trail Mix activity and the Puppet Making Activity.

Shari and I came to the closet and we went through the materials to find what we needed and what we could use. We rearranged and organized the closet in order to free up a box, then we placed our materials in said box. We labeled the box with our name and a list of all the materials we needed and that we had (inside the box).

We had a meeting with our whole group. We discussed expectations for this project. We decided who our leaders were. We paired up with someone to brainstorm what activity we were going to choose for Elkins Family Night. We also chose a theme for the event. We got to know our team members and organized ourselves so that we would be better prepared to begin.

Truly incredible. It always is.
