It was tough but rewarding and satisfying work! I enjoyed working with the other FSL Fraternity and Sorority that showed up! We were able to clear two huge piles of an invasive species of plant. The people in charge of the event said the goal is to control the spread, and we definitely did so!
I enjoyed collaborating with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated's Beta Phi chapter to present to the high school students at Muncie Central High School and have a roundtable talk about healthy relationships and how to handle negative relationships.
I enjoyed being able to teach high schoolers about my Sorority and the significance of an HBCU at the "HBCU Schools Matter" Event!
I loved participating in the Walk-A-Mile event. It was a great way to raise money and awareness for our homeless neighbors!
I had a great time creating pillows and blankets to donate on behalf of "Food for Thought!"
I enjoyed helping pack the bags of food and tear down the boxes to be put into the recycling!
It was amazing being able to interact with the boys and girls at the "Representation Matter: An Ongoing Movement - Not a Moment" event. Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. and other historic men and women who paved the way for the black community.
