I volunteered as a peer mentor at Canopy's after school program with the younger group of kids. We spent time outside playing games, had snack time, and then went inside for reading time. I love this program because it is so much fun!
As a mentor at Canopy's after school program, I am responsible for picking up the children, bringing them to the program, participating in the program, and driving them home after. I love volunteering for this program because it is so rewarding to see the kids having so much fun together. It is such an amazing program, and I am so grateful for the positive experiences I have there!
I volunteered at the Canopy afterschool program as a driver and peer mentor. I picked up the children and drove them to the program, and we carved pumpkins for Halloween! I love volunteering at Canopy because it gives me an opportunity to learn about different cultures and have a fun time doing it! The kids really enjoyed this activity, and I loved being able to help them express their creativity!
I really enjoyed my experience volunteering at Potters House because I felt like I was definitely making a difference. I worked organizing racks of clothes by color and size, which was actually pretty fun. I love that they work to help the community here, and I enjoyed getting to spend my time being of service as well.
During my time volunteering at 7 Hills Homeless Center, I learned a lot about the importance of serving my community. I helped the center organize supplies and pack bags for the people there. This experience was also very eye opening, and I learned a lot about how the homeless are living in Arkansas. I felt very grateful to be a part of the people who are helping the homeless, and I think this volunteer experience was an amazing opportunity for me.
