Helping with the 5K race was a really good experience where I helped with registration, handed out medals, and assisted with setting up and cleaning up the event. It taught me how important teamwork and staying organized are during a busy event. I enjoyed being able to support the runners and be part of something that brought people together. This opportunity helped me feel more responsible and involved in my community.
Serving as an usher for the Honors Convocation was a great experience that allowed me to support an important academic event. I helped welcome guests and guide people to their seats. This taught me the importance of responsibility and professionalism. Being part of the ceremony made me feel proud to recognize student achievements. This experience strengthened my communication skills and appreciation for academic excellence.
During this time, I was able to deliver wreath to the elderly showing appreciation and wishing them a happy holiday. I enjoyed seeing their face light up after receiving their wreath.
Grocery distribution was a community engagement activity where I helped unload food from the delivery truck and organized food and personal items on shelves for community members to shop.
During my time at the Solista Senior Living Center, my team and I were able to meet with residents at the senior center to interact and color with them. Many residents who were coloring showed their creative skills and enjoyed their time with us.
October 31st was a day where kids had an opportunity to be who they always dreamed of. Dream night was a night where kids were able to dress up as whatever they wanted to be whether that was a firefighter, police officer, lawyer, or doctor.
