Although this is my second year, I still found this information on the Give Pulse training rather useful. Sometimes I still have a hard time working my way around a couple things so the meeting was still quite insightful. Mr.Cruz made sure he throughly described how to effectively use the app.

Great Refrsh meeting! The hosts did a great job at reinforming the requirements and standards of the promise scholarship. I like that they added a kahoot this time around as well.
I attended a resume workshop , hosted by the business department. They had a recruiter from Hilton Hotels to come out and give us a powerpoint on the most appealing resume and how to achieve it. After the powerpoint she went around and took a look at everyone’s resume draft. Great workshop, helped with my resume assignment for my EGL 1340 class. (I’m sorry I couldn’t find Dr.King’s email but he’s the chairman of the business department)
Love tacos and tutoring! This time we had tacos from district tacos, and it was just overall a peaceful environment to study n.
“Get LinkedIn: Developing a Compelling LinkedIn Profile”. Great meeting! Dr.Pair set up a workshop for us to get acquainted with “LinkedIn” and learn about what’s preferred on resumes and profiles in hopes of preparing us for our future career search.
This was as virtual career fair for Public Safety & Law, Business, and Education. I enjoyed this fair a lot more than the last I attended being as though I could see myself in these careers more than construction or transportation lol. I went inside a few breakout rooms and everyone was so nice and adviceful.
This was a virtual career fair for STEM, construction mgt, and transportation. It was about 14 different employers ranging from construction, business, transport, and public safety and law. I’ve never been to a career fair whether that’s in person or virtual so this was nice to experience.
This session was very informative and relatable. The host discussed the definition of emotional wellness and how you could tell if you are or not. She also discussed patterns in unhealthy relationships, whether that’s romantic or family wise. This information was very eye opening for me.
