During the Food for All community service event, I packed tomatoes into plastic bags so they could be distributed later. This experience showed me that even a simple task helps families receive the food they need. I felt good knowing my time and effort supported my community, and I learned the importance of teamwork and responsibility. The event was organized and welcoming, and I would volunteer again. I would have liked to learn more about where the food was going and which communities would receive it.

This experience was very valuable to me as I was able to practice working with a child with autism and seeing how I could apply my skills in real life. The child we focused on trusted me enough to let me carry him, which was very special as he does not normally give affection in the form of hugs or kisses. I was able to maintain my patience and understanding as he demanded attention and needed his needs met. I had a lot of fun incorporating play and rides on the swing into our work together. This experience also helped me become more confident in my ability to manage challenging situations and work to create a positive environment for a child who requires support.
