Nicolas Pitre

I was a tutor at CBHS for Drew Bruck for Algebra I for he had difficulty in the subject at an 82. When I had helped him by the end of the quarter, he had improved his average up to an 88. He was able to understand the material he was given in class due to my explanations.

I worked as a volunteer at the Art in The Loop event on the 11th of April. My main job there was to give out snacks and water bottles to the artists at the event as well as to check to see if they needed a break from their venue. I also on the side for fun helped the organizers clean up trash and get ready for the evening segment of the event before I left. I met many people in the art culture in Memphis that were very kind to the team and I. I always made sure that the artists were okay and made sure they stayed positive as I want to see them next year. I as well checked on the police officers and national guards if they wanted anything as they are serving our community and our country.

I had a great time at the World Water Day Tree Planting event. It was very fun for me and also helped me become more aware about the environment. With that, I hope I can work more with Wolf River Conservancy and their goal on saving the natural life in the area.
