I attended FEC's "What the Election Means for Your Money" virtual session, where the presenter discussed the election results and their potential impact on finances. I'm not very familiar with politics or finance, but attending this session gave me a better idea of how they can affect everyday expenses and how to stay informed.

This session was informative and helped me realize that I am planning my academic path correctly, since the information presented in the slides aligned with what I have already been doing. It was reassuring to know that I am on the right track.
I learned some rules of college etiquette, such as how to communicate professionally, write emails, and act professionally without being "extra." I also learned how to create an email signature in Outlook, which will be useful to me in the future.
In this mini-session, I learned the difference between stress and burnout. I also learned ways to cope, such as taking breaks, managing time, and practicing self-care. I learned that seeking support when needed is a sign of strength, not weakness.
I learned about the differences between AA, AS, and AAS degrees, including their main purposes and the types of jobs they can lead to.
The Q&A meeting was informative, and I got to learn about many things happening on campus. I was surprised to learn that PGCC has Flock cameras around campus, but I was glad they explained that they are used for safety. It made more sense to me after learning more about the shooting that happened on campus a while ago.
