Volunteering at Rise Up Community Farm was a rewarding and peaceful experience. I spent two hours early in the morning helping harvest, clean, and bunch fresh produce such as kale, beets, and radishes. Working with my hands in the garden gave me a deeper appreciation for the effort that goes into local, sustainable farming. It was satisfying to see the immediate results of our teamwork and to know that the produce would support the community. The experience reminded me of the importance of giving back and connecting with the environment through meaningful work.
