Visiting the homeless shelter to host bingo and offer donations was a meaningful and eye-opening experience. Seeing the joy and engagement during the games made the effort feel truly worthwhile, and the opportunity to connect with people in such a simple, human way was impactful. It reinforced the importance of service, community involvement, and showing up with kindness and intention.
Working concessions at Northeast Gilford High school’s basketball game was a positive and enjoyable experience. The environment was fast-paced but organized, and everyone worked together to make sure supporters were served quickly. Interacting with students, parents, and community members made the job feel engaging rather than stressful. Overall, it was a good opportunity to support the team, earn service hours, and be part of a fun school event.
Assisting Gate City Charter Academy’s Stomp and Shake cheer team at my final practice was both meaningful and rewarding. Seeing the students’ improvement, teamwork, and growing confidence highlighted how much progress they’ve made so far. This practice reinforced the impact of being involved with the team, and I’m excited to return next semester and continue working with them!
I enjoyed being part of an event that supports cancer awareness and brings the community together for a good cause. Setting up tables, decorations, and signs gave me a sense of teamwork and purpose, knowing that my efforts helped create a positive environment for participants and survivors.
Helping set up the haunted house event in Barnes was a fun and rewarding experience. It was interesting to see how much teamwork and creativity went into transforming the space into something spooky and exciting for visitors. I hope everyone who attended enjoyed themselves!
