It was nice to get to see the Restore for the first time. I swept the floor because somebody's got to do it.

This was genuinely one of the most fun times I have had volunteering. The experience had what I love most about Night to Shine: getting to have fun and get to know your kid and what brings him/her joy. I got a kid who loved sports which is similar to me, so we hit it off and got to throw the football, play basketball, and talk a lot. The time flew by.

I loved getting to help kids pick out a free book to take with them that they found interesting. Getting to help reminded me of when I was in elementary school and finding books I liked. It was fun and nostalgic.

It felt great to help the TCOT organization get prepared for the pickleball tournament they are hosting. I am excited to participate and meet new pre-health students.

Giving blood for the first time was slightly uncomfortable, but I asked several questions in the process and learned a lot. Overall I learned a lot, and it felt great to give blood and know that it will go to help those who need it.
