About

Join us for It's My Park Day, March 2nd, as we feed the forest that feeds our community.  ðŸŒ³ðŸŒ³ðŸŒ³

Festival Beach Food Forest is a "forest garden" on public park land that was designed, installed, and planted by the hands of our community in 2015.  For over 8 years, the food forest community has nurtured the plants and trees that make up the food forest.

What was once a field of grass, has grown into a biodiverse ecosystem filled with fruit trees, nut trees, and hundreds of edible / medicinal plants. In addition to providing food and medicine, our food forest also offers opportunities to learn about the plants, learn about regenerative land care, and simply reconnect to the earth.

Our forest is your forest!  Come get your hands in the dirt as we incorporate some new plants and seeds into the ecosystem.  We will also be distributing compost and mulch around the forest to feed the plants and trees.   You might even have the opportunity to plant some of the very first plants and seeds for our 2+ acre expansion, scheduled to begin this Spring 2024.

On It's My Park Day, we invite you to help us steward the forest, and serve the community through this incredible public resource.
