I liked giving back to my university and the park. It looks so trashy when there are beer cans and trash laying around everywhere. I guess it's an inevitable part of being in college though. The area that I picked up looks significantly better! This is by far one of my favorite volunteering activities to do in the area!

It was sad to see all of the trash that people throw on the ground, but I was glad that I could help by picking some of it up.
I actually really enjoyed my time cleaning up Kessler Regional Park because I was able to spend time alone in great weather listening to my music.

Thank you so much for not overlooking the smaller trash, people often overlook that type of litter. (Cigarette butts are actually one of the top littered items, but seem that way because they are so tiny!) Appreciate your help! |
I had a lot of fun doing this. It feels great knowing I am helping my community. The trash bag began feeling pretty heavy towards the end. I will definitely be doing this again.

Wilson park was very clean, so we were not able to pick up as much as wanted. Walker park was the better place to go, and there was always something to pick up. The scenery around both parks were beautiful though. It was a very beautiful day with good weather to help the Earth.
