BK Ministries are doing great work to care for the homeless, and it was a pleasure to work with them.

St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish partnered with BK Ministries to make Christmas gift bags for the homeless people who meet outside Burger King every Sunday. We started at Walmart purchasing the necessary items including hats, gloves, scarves, chap stick, hand warmers, and hot cocoa packets. We then packed all of the items into gift bags with a handwritten note to be handed out Sunday morning. This is an amazing program and I hope this small gift brings someone joy this holiday season.

We went to the store to purchase 40 pairs of gloves, hats, scarfs, chapstick, hand warmers... then we went back to the church to make goodie bags and write letters with a religious message in them. These goodie bags were handed out to homeless people the following day at Burger King.
