This first scholarship night was very informative filled up with many great resources, information, and tips on how to adequately have proper control financially. Especially when it comes to building credit and how to manage to be financially responsible of payment deadlines of a credit card. We also learned about compound interest and credit reports. I’m glad that thanks to this session I have build up further knowledge about such topics that are very important for our near future or currently in our lives.

Before attending this meeting, I didn't think credit was important. I don't even have a credit card, but after attending the meeting, I should start thinking about building my credit as fast as possible. I learned about credit, but I also learn about compound interest, credit report, and etc. In the beginning of the meeting, we took some polls and answered some credit questions based on our knowledge. We saw the difference between life decisions that hurt or improve our credit. After we went into breakout rooms with other students to discuss more about credit. Overall, very informative meeting and learned useful information that will help me in the long run.

On scholarship night 1 we talked about credit and compound interest. I was able to gather vital information to keep my credits where it needs to be and what not to do with my credit card. The best advice I heard was to never spend more that 30% of your credit and pay it off at the end of the month. I think this was a great topic to discuss and much needed.

During this event, we learned the importance of credit reports. We also learned the importance of saving our money and the Fico score. In the fico score includes 35 % of the payment history and 10 % of types of credit. This information is important because it is good to know in the future, can be helpful, and can be beneficial.
