Today I had an amazing time at Appleseeds farm in Gulley Park. Brianna and Paul were very helpful and kind. While volunteering my time I learned a lot about the value of farm initiatives to donate, harvest, and respect the earth that which life comes from. We started out by unearthing strawberries to make room for a different plant to feed the community. Then we headed over to pick basil tops, cherry and roma tomatoes, and I even got to prune off eggplants and cucumbers. Once all of our produce was packed, we got to cleaning and leaving the farm space as we found it. I will definitely be back, and I cannot wait to tell my friends about this place.
