I enjoyed it, learned how to decorate and welcome new staffs, the sandwiches were so good.
The event was a nice opportunity to see new people working for PGCC. It was cool learning about their backgrounds and how their stories led them to work at PGCC. It was also fun preparing the tables and the small gifts for the mentors and newly hired staff members.
Volunteering at the “Newly Hired Full-time Faculty Program Welcome Luncheon” was a great experience. This was my second time seeing this event on GivePulse, and I was always interested in what occurred. I finally got the opportunity to volunteer and wasn't disappointed. We, volunteers, were able to set up and assist Dr. Lewis in her event. We helped with centerpieces, name tags, attendance, gift bag stuffing, and the pinning ceremony for the new hires. It was also great to see that some of the volunteers were fellow students from the W.O.W/ DMSI Alabama college tour, so we were already familiar with each other and were able to work together to get the event done. We also got to meet Madam President Felicia Williams, which was a first for me. 9/10
