End of Semester Meeting [Mandatory] (Tuesday)

The meeting was informative. Most of the given info was not new for me besides a few changes for the program requirements. It was a nice opportunity to gain more clarification about how the scholarship will apply for the academic year.

SGA Town Hall/ Q&A meeting with PGCC's President

The town hall meeting was nice to attend. I found it helpful to learn about the advances being taken place at PGCC to better student life and the overall college. It was also nice to hear the goals of the candidates. Many of the points the candidates shared revolved around student concerns, and it's really encouraging to hear them.

I attended the Flyin' West play from 7:30 pm to 10 pm. It was a very funny and impactful play. I really enjoyed all of the characters especially Sophie and Miss Leah. The cast was able to fully live in the plot, from the time period of the play to mannerisms. It was an extremely well written play.

    Special Scholarships Program

I attended the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences BSHS Programs and the GW RN to BSN Nursing Program from 3:00pm to 3:40 pm. It was a quick and informative meeting. The programs under the school of medicine and health sciences was more interesting to me because of the lab setting and how, through the program, one could work a job at the hospital where they manage lab work. It's also nice to hear how collaborative PGCC is with GW for both programs.

I attended the SGA Town Hall/ Q&A meeting with PGCC's President (3 pm- 5pm) virtually. The meeting was very informative. I learned about the importance of voting locally, especially when it concerned the school's funding and how that will affect tuition, the accessibility of science learning materials, and more things at the school.

I attended the Virtual Women’s History Month Celebration (5pm to 6pm) where Ms. Candida Rose was the host. The meeting was very inspirational. Ms. Candida Rose mentioned many women who deeply impacted her musical, educational, and whole life. It was so cool hearing that she was able to meet some of the people that inspired her and her voice is amazing!

    PGCC Baseball vs CCBC-Catonsville

The baseball game was enjoyable. It was my first time watching a baseball game and even though I don’t get how the sport works, it was cool watching the players play. Sadly, CCBC Cantonsville beat the PGCC Owls 15-2.

Navigate (Academic wellness) - Scholarship "mini" session #2

The Navigate information session was very informative. Even though I was aware of most of the information given, learning about the same day meeting with advisors and progress reports that come from professors was insightful.
