What do you like most about this experience?
While volunteering with BridgeWays, I really enjoyed being with the students and getting to know them. Something that I liked the most about the experience was that I got to be with the students even though it was only one day a week it was really a blast with them! Also, something that was really great was having all the materials and assignments for the students when we got there.

What was the most challenging?
- I believe that while volunteering the most challenging thing was getting the students to settle down. Especially seeing that the students had to miss physical education, it was sometimes kind of hard to get their attention because they would be upset about missing PE class.

What was your key takeaway from this day?
My key takeaway from this particular day was that we had an Easter basket with candy in it for the students. I believe that this relay helped having some candy to get the students to not only participate but actually be excited because they got to get something out of it. I also got to develop new skills when coming into contact with students that are having a rough day.

Side Note: I attached the image of the Easter bucket with candy and an image that I drew with the students I class for experiencing our feelings.

While volunteering with BridgeWays at Westhills Elementary School, I really like how engaged the students are especially if it is a hands on game/activity. Another thing that I like is how everyone is very friendly, welcoming, and willing to help in anyway that they can. I would say that the most challenging thing is working in a small environment, it would be better to have a classroom for BridgeWays classes but it overall works out.
