It was an amazing night catching up with old friends and making new ones. I am so glad I got to know about Toastmasters international as I personally struggle with public speaking and being confident in myself. I will for sure use that resource to help myself be the best version of myself going forward.

I learned more tips on how to access navigate and how to check who my assigned advisor is. I also learned the many ways to contact and make meetings with my advisor, such as through phone, email, zoom, and in person.
The spring orientation for Women of Wisdom was a fun and eventful night. We were introduced to two new members of the WOW team as well as reintroduced to the requirements needed to remain in good standing with the program.
The refresh event allows us to remember the requirements for the promise scholarship, especially for those of us in academic recovery. I will make sure to complete 15 hours of service this semester, including attending two mandatory meetings. In my case, I wish to attend the meeting regarding finances and balancing mental health.
The meeting consisted of new changes happening within the scholarship for the next semester, such as 5 events where we are expected to attend 2 mandatory to count towards the scholarship requirements. We also played a Kahoot game towards the end.
Another successful collaboration with Goodie girl bags. We managed to assemble many goodie girl bags filled with essential products for women in need of them most. It was a wonderful experience to bond with others through acts of service towards our community.
I enjoyed hearing the guest speaker talk about his role as a delegate for Maryland and how everyone should want to be involved when it comes to our rights and the way we live within society. He motivated me to want to be more active in my community for the benefit of all.
Scholarship night was very informative and I enjoyed how the audience was able to participate and share personal experiences with everyone.
The Women of Wisdom fall 2024 retreat/orientation was a huge success. Many wonderful ladies showed up and got to express themselves, make new friends, and enjoy a night of laughter and smiles. A great turnout and experience overall.
It was a great session with speaker Dr. Bryant from the wellness center. It was nice to breakout into breakout rooms on zoom and interact with other students even though we were viewing the event virtually.
