It was an amazing gathering with many wonderful women willing to serve those that are in need. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm and the bonds created where memorable.
It was a great meeting talking about ways to prevent sexual assault and how consent is key, yes means yes and is the only form of consent.
I learned more information on the differences between grants, loans, and scholarships. Although I already have a scholarship, I was given information on how to gain scholarships once I transfer to the nursing program at a four year university.
The UMD Shady Grove meeting was very insightful and persuaded me even more to want to transfer to Shady Grove after PGCC, especially for its nursing program.
The "Keys to a successful transfer" meeting was very informative. Although I am not transferring yet, the guest speakers provided important and useful tactics to follow when I am ready for the next chapter in my life.
The "Dear Women...Evolve" Women of Wisdom retreat was very informative and felt so welcoming. The guest speakers with their powerful words touched many of our hearts and I know I speak for others when I say that I learned so much. I enjoyed every moment of the event.
