This session was a good reminder about the importance of meeting with my advisor and because I was familiar with the advising system, it was refreshing to see if I missed anything or not. I didn't know about the navigate progress report so that was also very useful to know about and I'm very glad I learned about how to react when I come across it and the purpose on why it exists in the first place.

The refresh session went over the details of what we must do to be out of academic recovery, a summary of the plans in store for this semester and discussed what we have to take and do to be successful, not just at PGCC, but within the scholarship. Near the end we went into the breakout rooms and specifically, I went with DMSI and had a great time. Seeing new faces getting interested in the program, which is one of those that has benefited me the most here at PGCC, is always delightful since I enjoy being a part of my community, along with peers within the scholarship.
Overall, I had a good experience with the presentation. At first, I couldn't participate to the full extent, but I still was engaged with the topics and discussions presented regarding what it means to be a leader and even what type of person you are. I learned quite a bit about myself that I didn't really piece together, and this event made it more clear about who I am and I'm pretty grateful that I got that out of this event.
This conference event was one of the most insightful and informative events I have attended and that I can use as a resource to better myself and a reminder of what I ultimately want to accomplish in my future. We went over different topics in the event and the one that struck out to me the most was the morning keynote which went over multiple subjects over the theme of "elevating".
