I assisted the Nest afterschool teacher Peyton with the students. Handed out snack, and played with students on the playground.
I helped in the library and helped get the afterschool students settled in.
My site leader and I met in her office at the school and discussed our event location. We came up with the idea to collaborate with Glenwood Together and make a public community period party.
I had my meeting with NCNW president and Jarrod. We talked about our collaboration with the period hygiene drive and what NCNW will need from OLCE.
I discussed the event/project plan with NCNW at our general body meeting. We went in depth about the logistics of the event. This was the first draft.
I scheduled a meeting with Jarrod from OLCE and with Lexi the president of NCNW. I had to communicate between the both of them to find the best time to meet virtually.
I wrote out step by step how this project will go. It has the materials needed, collaborations, and outreach tactics to get more donations, and how the period kits will be put together.
I searched for materials needed for the period kits for my project on Amazon and developed a donation list that includes what we are looking for in donations during the drive.
During this meeting with my health committee with NCNW we discussed what the period hygiene drive would look like and who would be involved. A collaboration with OLCE was put into the air and considered. We planned how the period drive would be implemented.
