The Human Trafficking information session was really well made and extremely informative. I never knew how intricate human trafficking was until the meeting. The meeting really helped in raising awareness about the topic.
I was a very helpful meeting. It had information that is well
known but also included new information for this semester and the upcoming semesters. I really appreciate how the scholarship team try their best to accommodate for the students.
The zoom meeting was very informative. I learned about new things that will be implemented for the scholarship program next spring and it’s nice that the meetings, for example, are more flexible.
It was a very informative meeting. I really liked how the meeting flowed and how different perspectives was brought from the speaker concerning civic engagement. Learning about the speaker’s role for the families of the latino workers who lost their lives when the bridge fell was very impactful.
SEED Day was busy, but it was nice to volunteer for. Since there were a lot of staff members, we did our best to adapt to any changes met during the day and worked as a team. It was also cool to see the diversity within the PGCC staff.
The university fair was interesting to go to. I got to meet representatives from schools that I have interest in and I learned a lot. The fair gave me an opportunity to go over my academic career to make sure I am on track.
The meeting helped change my perspective on things in terms of how to navigate life in college and eventually outside of it. Learning the characteristics of very influential people and looking at our own helps bring a different perspective on ourselves. It helps us take notes of ourselves and helps in seeing those characteristics shine in certain career paths or even day-to-day activities.
The event was a nice opportunity to see new people working for PGCC. It was cool learning about their backgrounds and how their stories led them to work at PGCC. It was also fun preparing the tables and the small gifts for the mentors and newly hired staff members.
It was an interesting experience. There were a lot of students, and it was hectic, but it was nice to have them exposed to different academic opportunities. We did our best to guide the students around the campus and prevent them from getting lost.
The organizers of the meeting were very encouraging as they were explaining the programs. They emphasized the importance of having a community in a university by sharing their own experiences. It was nice to hear people from different backgrounds express what it means to be a STEM student and what can you do to deepen your STEM career.
