My first day as a Raising Expectations volunteer. I met the kids and got acclimated to the volunteering system. I helped set up the classroom for the kids and met the sponsor for the group.
During this event, I helped make and pack peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for my Atlanta community in a sandwich run with my AUC peers. We packed and distributed over 4,000 sandwiches. I enjoyed getting to know my peers in the DMV Club giving back. The organizers did a great job running the event and making sure we had enough bread, peanut butter, jelly, and brown paper bags.
