I'm glad I joined this event, I learned different study techniques. I learned that for sometime I have been using study techniques that don't really suit my style of learning and the type of person I am. They didn't help me retain the information i was studying. This event helped me dive into my research to finding study methods that work for me

This was a great zoom meeting. I learned about different study techniques. For instance, we discussed how mnemonics, mind mapping, Cornell notes, etc. can help you with your studies. I also kept in mind where the presenter says we need to reward ourselves as we study, in order to motivate ourselves.

As a student who struggles to concentrate while studying it was nice to learn new studying methods that could work for me. I usually procrastinate and try to find other things to do while studying which just makes the process longer so it was interesting to learn new techniques.

I had a great time in this presentation in getting to know more about how important it is to study smarter and take different methods in order to get better results and of course, learn more. I really enjoyed being active in the presentation, sharing my own thoughts and as well as my own strategies I personally use when studying. Overall, I'm glad for the opportunity and hope to encounter a similar opportunity later down the road.

This workshop event was very helpful on developing different techniques for studying. I enjoyed this meeting and explored different types of methods of studying such as; the cornell notes, mnemonic method, KWL chart, mapping, and the Feynman method. Throughout the meeting we also shared which study techniques work best for us and how to prepare before an exam. We were taught that it is best to study at least a week in advance before an exam and start off with the most difficult topics we struggle with the most. At the end of the meeting the facilitators shared with us some resourceful online tools that can help us improve our studying habits. Overall, it was a great meeting the facilitators/hosts provided a positive environment throughout the whole session. I’m grateful for this, I left this meeting feeling more motivated and productive.

I learned about study habits that I was already doing before. I didn't set aside time for myself and my achievements though which was spoken about in the meeting.
