I really enjoyed this event. My school transfer list did increase and it gave me a better idea on what schools I really wanted to attend. Schools in Baltimore are ones I am leaning more towards since they have a metro available for commute.
I enjoyed learning about other college options that I hadn't even considered. It was interesting learning about the specific GPA requirements that colleges had; it was something I didn't know. Also, I got to know some colleges that had game design programs such as Southern New Hampshire University.
Talking with all the colleges really expanded my horizon on what different programs they all provide. I did notice all the out of state colleges only really provide online programs.
Everyone representing their college/university at the fair were really kind and great people who were really knowledgeable about the transfer process and the benefits of their college.
I was able to have many helpful conversations with representatives of various institution to assess my choices of transfer schools. Although I hoped to see UMD College Park in-person, I was still able to ask about colleges’ study abroad program and student life outside of class.
Finding out about other college alternatives that I had not even thought of was interesting. I didn't know that colleges had particular GPA requirements, so it was intriguing to hear about them. I also learned of a few institutions that offered awesome programs.
