It was great looking at the film and learning new things
I enjoyed watching the preview of the film "Ghost in America's Kitchen" at the cultural art building. Cannot wait to see the full film!
James Hemmings and Denise Ware Jackson's documentary on the history of macaroni and cheese was a genuinely engaging experience. The documentary provided a detailed overview of the dish's evolution over time, and the demonstration and tasting segment gave a deeper understanding of how the recipe has changed through history. The documentary delved into the origins of macaroni and cheese, exploring how it was first introduced to the world and how it has evolved as a staple of American cuisine. The demonstration was particularly fascinating, as the chefs recreated various versions of the dish from different historical periods, showcasing the subtle differences in ingredients and preparation methods. Overall, the documentary was informative and entertaining and is highly recommended for anyone interested in the rich history of this beloved dish.
Attended event as part of PGCCTV's Around Prince George's segment. Interviewed Chef Ashbell and even got to try some Mac n' Cheese!
This was an amazing event! I've just sparked an interest in cooking and culinary arts so being able to attend this event and meet chef Ashbell McElveen was a great experience! His film was about famous chef James Hemings, who I have now learned was the man who created Mac and Cheese and brought items like meringue and whipped cream to the States.
