Attended bi-weekly check in today and spent some extra time chatting with Nithi about site and the skill-builder. Also attended the monthly meeting today with the team.
We had our monthly meeting with Brooke and Nithi. We discussed signing up for bi-weekly meeting, logging hours, and Eagle Endowment plans.

I went to Ida B. Wells Middle School and spent most of the time tutoring 6th grade students. I helped students with their homework and most of them needed help with ELA, Math, and Geography. Once their homework was completed, I assisted in a Community Learning Activity and Electives.
For the first time I worked with the Sixth Graders in which I assisted with homework and helped with an activity that addressed how to react with certain emotional situations. Working with this group I felt a deeper connection to these kids than previously and felt as if the kids truly enjoyed my presence around.

I helped kids with their math homework and also got to talk to them about their days. At the end we did an activity that was very helpful for kids to learn how to react to different situations. It was nice getting to meet more of the kids and interact with the Higher Achievement staff.
